The Hood Paris is a neighborhood café-restaurant-community-hangout on Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, opened nearly ten years ago out of a simple need for good coffee, good company, and the Southeast Asian flavors we missed most from home.
Naturally, chicken rice quickly became the star of the show. Today, it's the dish our community keeps coming back for, week after week, ever since we first opened our doors. In Singapore, it’s a dish that's always there for you: simple, satisfying, and so damn comforting.
We’ve spent years fine-tuning our version using the best local and international produce we can find: a plump French yellow chicken gently poached until tender. A super aromatic broth. Rice cooked until fat and fragrant with stock.
We serve it two ways: a classic Hainanese Chicken Rice, clean and comforting, and Roast Chicken Rice, crisp and fragrant with a bit of zing. Both come with a cup of broth and our three sauces: chilli, ginger-garlic, and sweet dark soy.
And now, starting on 1 February 2026, we're introducing CHICKEN RICE SUNDAYS, The Hood Paris’ take on the French tradition of the Sunday Roast for brunch from 11am!
