We started in 2016 with a simple idea: to create a place where people come together over good food, good music (our playlists), and excellent coffee.
What began as a neighbourhood café quickly evolved into something more. The Hood Paris is not just about what’s on the plate or in the cup - it’s about creating a space where cultures meet, conversations flow, and communities form naturally.
Rooted in Paris and inspired by Southeast Asia, The Hood Paris bridges worlds. We draw from Singaporean and regional food cultures, reinterpret them through French craft, and serve them in a setting that feels warm, convivial, and unpretentious.
Over time, we became known as the home of pandan in Paris - using it not as a novelty, but as a core flavour across our chicken rice, nasi lemak, drinks, desserts, and baked goods.
Along the way, one dish quietly became our signature: our chicken rice. Slow-poached, deeply seasoned, and served with the respect it deserves, it has become what many know us for - not because it’s flashy, but because it’s done right. It represents our philosophy perfectly: humble and comforting food that you can eat daily.
Over the years, The Hood Paris has grown into a cultural hub - hosting dinners, pop-ups, and collaborations with chefs, creatives, and brands from around the world. We believe food is a starting point, not the end goal. It’s a way to open doors, challenge perceptions, and bring people to the same table.
Today, The Hood Paris remains proudly independent and community-led. We’re here to serve good food, play good music, brew great coffee—and keep refining the flavours and dishes that define us.
The door’s open. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
